Safe Travels Launch

Holiday Inn Club Vacations was one of the first hospitality brands with a response plan for Covid-19 in market. Called Safe Travels, it was designed to play off of the popular travel phrase when wishing travelers well on their journey ahead.

The look

I chose to introduce a calm blue tone to help the campaign stand out amongst the already existing “verve” orange brand color at the resorts and corporate headquarters. The check mark within the logo designates “checking the boxes” on safety as teams welcomed guests back.

Welcome back

As doors began to re-open, we produced a quick tour at our Myrtle Beach, SC resort hosted by CEO, Tom Nelson, to illustrate the measures the organization was taking to ensure guests and team members were safe.

Taking a breath

We wanted the campaign to have an approachable feel that reminded guests that they are on vacation and team members are taking all the required precautions to check the boxes on safety, while still having fun.

    Each villa received a seal of cleanliness that informed guests their room was thoroughly sanitized, inspected and ready for their arrival.

    Based on CDC guidelines, a simple 6-step diagram was created and placed in common area restrooms around the resorts.

Step on to fun

Vinyl floor decals were used through lobby and guest areas of each resort to promote safe social distancing. We put a vacation overlay to help guests relax and give them permission to have fun on vacation once again.
