New Orleans Resort Launch
The first HICV resort in the Big Easy warranted a big New Orleans welcome launch. For the first time in HICV history, we combined new projection mapping technology to elevate the guest arrival experience. We also worked closely with the design and development team to creatively build additional common areas and signage to fit the NOLA vibe.

An epic welcome
The hallmark attraction within the NOLA Resort lobby is the interactive projection mural wall. This welcome experience for guests introduces the vibrant NOLA art and city culture into the refreshed space. This was a robust undertaking that I lead, partnered and directed multiple teams of artists, contractors, tech developers, resort operators and the own in-house creative team to achieve its success.
Bringing the outside, inside
The entire lobby experience was designed around the diversity and rich culture of NOLA, including the garden district. The Vacation Station was intended to bring a little bit of the intricate ironwork and flowing ivy vines found throughout numerous historic estates in the garden district into the lobby. Vacation Station acts as the resort’s concierge desk, educating guests on local attractions and things to do in NOLA.

Our final install, incorporating a white wash brick wall, lanterns, ivy, faux wrought iron and hanging lanterns with flickering flames.

Mardi Gras
You can’t visit NOLA without capturing a little Mardi Gras spirit. Beads were thoughtfully placed as an added detail.
Maritime Bar
As an homage to the historic nature of the Maritime building that houses the resort, the lobby bar was named Maritime Bar and includes an iconic green brick wall as a nod to its financial district location. “Laissez le bon temps rouler” calls to a popular NOLA phrase, “let the good times roll” which invites guests to kick back, relax and enjoy!

Press kit
Created for the launch of the resort, these kits included a custom-designed package with masks, treats, and quick facts and were given out to members of the press and local community VIPs .
