Signage is incredibly important to the overall guest experience. This area allowed my team and I to work using SketchUp, a CAD based software, to concept, create and work directly with contractors for fabrication and installation of new and exciting signage, both large and small across all HICV resorts.

Initial Sketch Concept
This initial design was intended to embrace the historic nature of the resort, built in 1892, while introducing our brand as the new owner of the property.
-
Installed Monument Sign
In order to pay homage to the historic nature of this property, the Holiday Inn Club Vacations logo was created with a rod-iron feel to seamlessly integrate.
It’s in the details
Each texture, design, and landscaping element was carefully chosen to ensure a fresh sense of arrival at Tahoe Ridge Resort.
Curb appeal
Numerous concepts + renders were created and presented to leadership providing a comprehensive study of scale, landscaping, lighting, sight lines, and potential obstructions. This exploration was done to ensure a clear sense of arrival for guests.
LIGHTING
I really enjoy thinking through lighting elements. How does the signage interact with the natural light throughout the day? Is there clear visibility at night for guests arriving late? Below are some basic light studies for the Orange Lake Resort monument signage that helped answer these questions.
